The top two businesses in pre-press equipment support in the UK have announced a joint venture, creating a new company that will be known as Denmar Support Group. With a combined turnover nearing £3 million the new business can offer its customers an unrivalled level of support across a broad range of pre-press technologies. The two top ranked businesses in pre-press support, Marlowe Graphic Services and the Dennison Group, will join forces officially as of November 1st, 2011.

Commenting on the announcement, Darren Eliot, Managing Director of Marlowe Graphic Services, said: “It just made a lot of sense for the two companies to pool resources rather than continue to compete against each other. The demand for both companies support services continues to grow, but so does the range of technologies that we have to be skilled in. The new venture will have the resources of 20 technicians at its disposal, as well as a number of specialist sub-contractors. A team of customer focused management and administration personnel will be based at Marlowe’s Kings Langley offices and the Dennison Group’s headquarters near Leeds.

The new business will continue to provide service to pre-press equipment manufacturers as well as direct technical support to its own customers – a range of businesses that include multi-national magazine and newspaper publishers, fine-art printers, book printers and general commercial print suppliers. It will also continue the sales activity that was previously undertaken by both companies, with a range of both new and used pre-press equipment and software.
